Hagiography
is the study of saints.
A hagiography, from Greek
(h)agios ("holy"
or "saint") and
graphe ("writing"),
refers literally to writings
on the subject of such holy
people, and specifically
the biographies of ecclesiastical
and secular leaders.
A more poignant
culture in which to study
saints could not be found
than in India, whose spiritual
leaders are world renown
for their pacifist Holy
Men and their ageless doctrine
of love and harmony.
